Our Stable...
Set in picturesque wooded acreage of northeastern Connecticut,
our beautiful, colonial style three-stall barn is home to
our Friesians. Bill designed and built the barn himself
in 1989, and his workshop, nestled adjacent to the horses’
living quarters, ensures that the barn and grounds always
get plenty of TLC. An additional two stall structure was
built in 2008, along with a run in shed in the lower paddock.
From their stalls, the horses have constant access to three
spacious paddocks, complete with several shade trees and
a run-in shelter. During the day the horses can be
found outside, cantering around, playing with their toys,
taking naps, and – their favorite activity – greeting visitors.
As soon as you pull up to the barn, our girls will be at
the gate to welcome you before you even get out of the car.
At night, the horses return to their spacious stalls to
rest to the sounds of the nearby babbling brook and surrounding
nature.
